STONEMEC™

Plus®

A versatile hidden stone cladding system that provides centralised or back of panel support for large scale natural stone plates where edge kerf fixing is not suitable.

  • 50+ year lifespan

  • Coastal & seismic environment

  • Non-combustible

  • Residencial & commercial

  • Adaptive reuse & 100% recyclable

  • Retrofit

The STONEMEC Plus® system is suitable for mechanically fixing suspended stones above windows, doors, soffits, or elevated bulkhead sections, where bottom fixings are not compatible or visible. Further development has allowed mechanical attachment for large format thin sintered stone or porcelains from 9mm thickness upwards.

Our STONEMEC Plus® system complies with alternative materials like Hi-density UCS, Metals, Honeycomb & other composite facade panels.

Learn How It Works

Our system features vertical channels with adjustable cavity depths to meet different requirements while minimising pin thread extension. These channels provide integral strength and flexibility due to their thickness and metal blend. HD backplates are used for load and retention, connected to the vertical channels using a locknut system. This allows for precise positioning, accurate pin placement, and length adjustment.

The threaded pin and disc connection enables both forward and rear positioning, allowing for alignment of adjoining panels or creation of 3D surfaces. The pins and discs are housed in a semicircular slot created by purpose-made cut and grind blades.

Our system's metallic components are non-combustible, ensuring both safety and durability. They are designed to reduce stress transfer within the stone installation during seismic activity or building movement caused by unstable ground or thermal changes. Unlike traditional masonry methods, our independent (suspended) mechanical veneer fixing system does not rely on adjoining masonry or base support for strength. It provides mechanical reinforcement for lateral movement as well.
